Fake Dentist Wanted for Causing Severe Dental Damage

Authorities in Texas are searching for a woman accused of posing as a dentist and causing significant harm to a client’s teeth.

The situation began when the victim found a video on TikTok for dental services under the name “Tha_Toothly_Houston.” After inquiring about treatment, the alleged victim sent photos of her teeth and received a quote for $1,000 to replace multiple teeth, and $350 for a bridge. She was told to make an appointment if she wanted the work done.

On the day of the procedure, the suspect reportedly applied veneers and a bridge without following standard dental procedures, such as creating a mold. During the treatment, the alleged victim reported that they experienced severe discomfort and dizziness due to the pressure and chemicals used. She later reported difficulty closing her mouth, discomfort from the size of the veneers, and persistent pain.

In the days following the procedures, the alleged victim’s condition worsened, leading to bleeding and the loss of a tooth, and she decided to contact the police.

The authorities confirmed that the suspect is not a licensed dentist or dental assistant. An arrest warrant was issued after the investigation linked her to the cosmetic dental business responsible for the procedure.

The suspect, who is currently out on bonds totaling $450,000 from six criminal cases for multiple felonies including unlawfully carrying a weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and additional crimes, has not yet been found. Crime Stoppers of Houston placed the suspect on their “Fugitive Friday” list on September 27, and the authorities decided to offer a reward to anyone who helps them find her. When she is located, the woman is expected to face a felony charge of practicing dentistry without a license.
