“Teen Mom” TV star Ryan Edwards was arrested in Tennessee last week after allegedly violating the terms of a restraining order by contacting his soon-to-be ex-wife.
35-year-old Ryan Edwards and his wife Mackenzie have been married since 2017, and they have two children together. They have regularly been in the public eye on the TV series “Teen Mom.”
According to reports, the couple has had a tumultuous relationship with several instances of domestic violence of which Ryan was allegedly the aggressor. Ryan is also reported to have problems with substance abuse.
Recently, Ryan reportedly accused Mackenzie of having an affair. Explicit photos of the woman, in addition to scathing comments, were posted on social media from Ryan’s account.
On February 8, Mackenzie was granted a protective order and temporary custody of their children.
It was reported that after he was served, Ryan sent a text message to Mackenzie’s father, which violated the terms of the protective order. Ryan was informing the man that he was going to the house to pick up his belongings.
The authorities located Ryan at his job, and while they took him into custody for harassment, they reportedly found him in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Around 2:00 AM on February 19, Ryan reportedly sent a text to Mackenzie reading “My god I don’t haven’t [sic] to live my life without you! Sorry!” Four days later, he allegedly sent a second message saying, “For what it’s worth, I’m sorry and I do miss you.”
Ryan was booked into the Silverdale Detention Center on suspicion of aggravated stalking, and violation of a protection order. He was jailed in lieu of a $50,000 bond, and he has since been released.
It was reported that Mackenzie has filed for divorce.
