Broken Selfie Stick Allegedly Used to Abuse Child

During a visit with his children, a father has been accused of abusing his young daughter by allegedly hitting her and causing injuries with the remnants of a broken selfie stick.

28-year-old Aaron Moore is a father that shares custody of his children, and they were recently visiting with him at his residence.

Moore’s 6-year-old daughter had reportedly found a selfie stick, which is a device that allows one to take pictures of themselves with digital photography equipment at a greater-than-arm-length distance, and she began to play with it. It was reported that while playing with it she damaged the condition of the stick rendering it broken.

According to her siblings who said that they saw what transpired Moore hit the girl with the defunct object several times.

The children told their mom what they allegedly saw happen between their dad and their sister. The child reportedly had marks on her back that were believed to have come from Moore’s actions, and her mom called the sheriff’s office to report the situation.

Moore was taken into custody for suspicion of felony child abuse and he was jailed in lieu of $3500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court regarding the allegations on February 1.
