The parents of a 3-year-old were arrested when the youngster was found on the roof of their residence while they were reportedly passed out after allegedly staying up all night to play video games and smoke marijuana.

According to reports, around 8:00 PM on April 9, the mother and father of two children, ages 3 and 1, checked on the youngsters before relaxing in their Glenville, West Virginia, home for the evening. They reportedly smoked marijuana and decided to play video games, and they ended up staying up all night. At some point, presumably while his parents were asleep, the 3-year-old managed to get out of his room and climb onto the roof of the dwelling. It was not reported how long the child was up there, but late the following morning, the police began receiving calls from people who saw him on the roof.

Just before noon, officers with the Glenville Police Department went to the address, and the youngster was still on the roof. The officers entered the home, but did not immediately find the parents. They reported that the house was dirty and had excrement smeared on the walls, and that they found the 1-year-old, whom they said “smelled of feces and urine.” The police reported that they went into the 3-year-old’s room, which allegedly had a lock on the outside of the door, and saw a broken window. They surmised that the youngster climbed out the window and made his way to the roof. While it was noted that the boy, who also smelled like he had soiled himself, was cold and wet because it was raining outside, there are currently no reports of physical injuries.

Two people were arrested in connection with a criminal case involving an elderly person after the police believed they were abusing and stealing money from the man.

According to reports, last November, an elderly man who was residing in a nursing home and receiving medical care was released into the custody of a 58-year-old man, despite the facility warning that the move would likely cause his health to suffer. Approximately five months later, the authorities were notified about a situation involving possible domestic violence, and the police were sent to the home where the former patient was currently residing. When they arrived and approached the residence, they reported that a man and woman were standing at the front door and yelling at each other. They soon learned that the argument was about the elderly man, who was reportedly found in poor physical health.

When they looked into the situation, the authorities reportedly discovered a record showing that the 58-year-old had taken more than $40,000 from the alleged victim’s bank accounts. They suspected he had stolen the money and that the woman was also involved in the situation.

A 59-year-old woman from Florida is facing charges after allegedly holding two teenagers who were fishing near her home at gunpoint with a fake weapon that they believed was real.

On March 28, two teens, ages 13 and 15, were fishing near a residence in Melbourne. Though they were reportedly past the property line, the woman who lives in the home believed they were in her backyard. She allegedly intervened before notifying the authorities. The teens, who dropped to the ground when they saw her, reported that they were afraid and believed the gun was real. The woman allegedly threatened to shoot them in their heads as they lay on the ground. A few minutes later, her husband went up to her and took the faux firearm away from her.

The woman called the authorities and told them what happened, and deputies from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office went to the address to investigate. When they talked to the teens, the boys gave their account of what happened and added that they thought the woman was going to shoot and kill them. When the piece was inspected, the authorities confirmed that it was a long pellet gun and not a real firearm. They also asserted that the boys were over 25 feet from the woman’s property line.
