Drug Suspect Arrested Days After Bonding Out for Same Crimes

A resident of a North Carolina home suspected of being a drug house was arrested for many narcotics-related crimes a couple of days after he was released on bond for the same charges.

According to the authorities, Macon County local Jamie O’Neal is suspected of being a drug dealer in the area.

O’Neal was arrested last week for several drug offenses, and he was released after bonding out of jail.

The authorities were keeping a watch on the home where O’Neal resides to see if their suspicions of continued drug activity were valid.

On January 29, deputies with the sheriff’s office teamed up with the Franklin Police Department Narcotics Unit for surveillance.

While they were watching the home, O’Neal reportedly left with a man later identified as Brach Brasier. The pair reportedly drove off together, and law enforcement officers followed the car.

When the vehicle stopped, a man later identified as Morgan Murray allegedly walked up and interacted with the men in the car.

The detectives that were watching reported that they saw a suspicious exchange between Murray and the inhabitants of the vehicle. They decided to approach the suspects to further inspect the situation.

O’Neal reportedly had a large amount of money on him, in addition to illegal narcotics when he was searched. Murray was also allegedly holding narcotics, and all three men were apprehended.

O’Neal was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of many charges including selling or delivering a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a revoked license, trafficking methamphetamine, and two counts of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance. He is being held on a $400,000 bond.

Brasier was arrested on suspicion of selling or delivering a Schedule I controlled substance, and he was released after paying a $15,000 bond.

Murray is also expected to face charges of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The inspection of the home reportedly uncovered fentanyl, prescription drugs, and over an ounce of methamphetamine.
