Ex Unloaded 94 Rounds at Woman’s New Beau

A Florida man allegedly drove to a residence and shot nearly 100 bullets at his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend while sitting in a vehicle.

40-year-old Vincent Lee Howard Jr. lives in Orlando with his wife, and he has a 3-year-old child with his ex-girlfriend.

On January 3, Howard and his former flame reportedly got into a heated three-way argument on the telephone with the woman’s new boyfriend.

According to his ex, during the call, Howard allegedly said that he was going to go to the man’s home and harm him.

Approximately 10-minutes after they hung up, Howard, who reportedly had a firearm with him, drove his wife’s car to the man’s residence and parked out front.

The man was standing outside when Howard pulled up. When he reportedly saw Howard pop his head out of the sunroof while holding a weapon, he dove behind a bush to try to protect himself from possible injury.

Howard allegedly discharged at least 94 bullets in the man’s direction, and one of them penetrated one of his buttocks.

The alleged victim was able to drive himself to the emergency room for treatment, and when officers arrived they spoke with his girlfriend about the incident.

The woman alleged that the event occurred because Howard was angry and jealous of her relationship.

When the authorities used the information from Howard’s wife’s vehicle registration to get an address for him, they went to Howard’s home to try to find the man.

Howard was not at the residence at the time, but he was reportedly found nearby in a car with two people.

Howard was placed under arrest and booked into the Orange County jail. He is facing charges for suspicion of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, shooting from a vehicle, driving a vehicle from which shots were fired, shooting at a building, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammo by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a violent career criminal, criminal mischief and unlawful discharge of a weapon.

No other injuries besides the bullet in the buttock were reported as a result of the incident.
