Jaxson Hayes Facing a Dozen Charges in Los Angeles

In connection with a situation that happened last summer, the authorities in Los Angeles have decided to pursue charges for domestic violence and battery on a police officer against NBA player Jaxson Hayes.

Jaxson Hayes is the 21-year-old center for the New Orleans Pelicans. He resides in the Woodland Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles.

On July 29, Hayes and the woman he was dating at the time were at home when they reportedly got into a domestic dispute. His now ex-girlfriend’s cousin called the authorities and asked them to intervene after Hayes’ ex-girlfriend sent them text messages and said she was afraid.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department went to the residence, and Hayes was allegedly uncooperative with them the entire time they were there.

When the police tried to talk to Hayes’ ex-girlfriend without him present, the man allegedly got angry and wanted to see a warrant granting them permission to enter the residence.

Hayes reportedly continued to argue with the officers, and they let him know that he was being detained.

Hayes reportedly struggled and resisted, and when he quickly turned around, an officer was knocked into the door.

It was reported that when the police spoke to the alleged victim, she said the situation had calmed down before they arrived, and everything was alright.

On January 20, charges connected to the incident were officially filed against Hayes. They are reported as three counts of inflicting corporal injury to a spouse, two counts of domestic battery, one count of battery against an officer, one count of false imprisonment, three counts of vandalism, one count of aggravated trespassing, and one count of resisting arrest.

He is scheduled to appear in court on February 15.
