At approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 12, a Florida woman was in the parking lot at a Dollar General store in Mascotte. She reportedly had a towel hanging from her body, and she was drinking a can of Four Loko.
According to reports, two juveniles were in the parking lot when they spotted the woman, who appeared to be heading towards a nearby Circle K. The woman reportedly noticed the youngsters and approached them to ask them if they had a lighter she could borrow.
Dollar General employees reportedly noticed the woman near the juveniles, and they spoke with the children about the situation. After they were told what happened, they notified the authorities.
Officers from the Mascotte Police Department went to the area, and one of them saw the woman walking around. She reportedly seemed like she was intoxicated.
It was reported that after the police identified her, they asked her about her state of undress, and she allegedly told them it is her usual outfit for going out in public. She reportedly added that laziness determines her clothing choice.
The authorities spoke to the guardian of one of the youngsters, and they took the child back to the scene so they could give their account of what transpired. It was reported that the other juvenile also talked to the police about the incident.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Lake County Jail on suspicion of two second-degree felony counts of lewd or lascivious exhibition. She is currently being held in lieu of a $4,000 bond.
