Mom Repeatedly Left 4 Kids Home Alone While Out Drinking

A woman is facing several consequences for allegedly leaving her kids alone on a regular basis while she was out drinking.

27-year-old Perla Aguilar has four children ranging in age from infant to 9-years-old, and they reside in Oklahoma City.

Last weekend, Aguilar reportedly left the house with no adult supervision for the children. She allegedly gave her 9-year-old the task of caring for the other youngsters. The baby is 9 months old, and the other children are 5 and 8.

Someone who believed the kids had been alone for a long time called the authorities and asked that the police perform a welfare check, and officers went to the address.

When they arrived, they reported that the temperature outside was 35 degrees, and the residence was without a heater. They also reportedly found the four children alone in the residence.

The baby was asleep, and when the officers talked to the 9-year-old, they interpreted her behavior as displaying signs of being overwhelmed.

Aguilar returned home while the police were there.

The officers were watching as the woman got out of her vehicle, and they said Aguilar looked like she was intoxicated. It was reported that “she smelled of alcohol, her speech was slurred, [and] she kept repeating herself.”

When Aguilar discussed the matter with them, the authorities reported that she said she works at a bar and that it is normal for her to have a few drinks at work.

Aguilar was taken into custody and booked into the county jail for suspicion of child neglect and DUI.

The authorities spoke with an alleged witness who said Aguilar leaves the kids alone on a regular basis.

According to reports, the children are being relocated to Texas to stay with a relative.
