A Florida man who was recently released from prison was arrested for allegedly touching himself sexually while riding a bicycle through a public area.
Early in the morning on November 17, a woman in a parking lot in Indian Shores, Florida, allegedly spotted a man riding a bicycle with his privates exposed. She alleged that he was masturbating. The alleged eyewitness notified the authorities to report the incident. She told them that she remembered details of what he looked like and gave them a description.
Officers from the Indian Shores Police Department set out to try to locate the suspect, and about an hour later, they came across someone in Indian Rocks Beach who reportedly fit the description the woman provided.
According to reports, they approached the man, and he reportedly told them he was sleeping in the park. They noted that the zipper on his pants was undone. He was identified as a 44-year-old who lives in Largo. It was reported that they also learned that he had been released 6 months ago after being sentenced to a 25-year sentence for burglary, arson, and attempted murder charges.
The police had the woman who reported the incident meet with them, and when they had her look at the man, she reportedly said she was absolutely positive he was the one she saw touching himself on the bike in the parking lot.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. He is facing preliminary charges of misdemeanor exposure of sexual organs. He was jailed on a $150 bond. According to jail records, at the time that this was written, he was still incarcerated.
