A 77-year-old man who allegedly makes a habit of masturbating outdoors and in full view of his neighbors was arrested for his reportedly indecent behavior.
Lawrence Cox and his wife have a home in Anthony, Florida.
According to the Coxs’ neighbors, Lawrence tends to walk outside of his home where they and their children can see, and he touches himself sexually.
The family reported that they had witnessed Cox rubbing himself below the belt through his clothes more than once, but they had not seen his exposed flesh.
Earlier this month, Cox was allegedly standing in his front doorway while stroking his genitals.
The neighbor, whose kids were outside playing at the time, became concerned that his children were serving as sexual eye candy for the man and rushed over to Cox’s house to speak about the incident.
When the neighbor was satisfied that his assertion of what Cox was doing was correct, the man notified the authorities.
The police wanted to speak with Cox’s wife about the allegations, but she was not home during the reported event.
The next day, Cox allegedly began to pleasure himself in his doorway again.
When the neighbor and his wife spotted the alleged spectacle, they recorded a video of him in action and called the police.
After the authorities collected and viewed the video, they felt that enough evidence was available to prove that Cox was masturbating outside his home.
Cox was booked into the Marion County jail on a $2,000 bond. He is expected to face charges for two counts of indecent exposure.
The authorities are trying to determine if Cox, who has a caregiver, is suffering from dementia.
