An Arizona man reportedly cut off a finger while allegedly slashing his neighbor’s tires and left the severed digit at the scene.
Kevin Johnson lives in Maricopa, and he has had a tense relationship with his neighbors since they had a disagreement at a social gathering.
On April 13, Johnson reportedly crashed a get-together at a house in the neighborhood, and he allegedly consumed a lot of alcohol while he was there.
After reportedly becoming intoxicated, Johnson allegedly started a confrontation with his neighbors. He reportedly verbally attacked the husband and pushed the wife two times.
In the morning on April 15, the neighbors that Johnson allegedly fought with at the party found that their GMC Yukon’s tires had been slashed.
When the couple inspected the damage, they saw a severed finger laying on the ground and a blood trail going in the direction of their reportedly heated neighbor’s home.
The couple checked their security cameras, but whoever caused the damage was not recorded when the event took place.
When speaking with others who live around the home, someone reported that they thought Johnson had been screaming and weeping between 10:00 and 11:00 pm the previous night.
The Maricopa Police Department was alerted about the incident, and they collected the finger for evidence. The couple reported their previous problems with Johnson and asserted that he was the perpetrator.
Johnson was taken into custody approximately a week after the bloody event, and he is facing charges for suspicion of criminal damage, assault, threatening and intimidating, and disorderly conduct.
The alleged victims reported that the damaged vehicle has a high sentimental value as it was a final gift from the husband’s grandmother. They did not report an exact amount, but said that it would cost “a lot of money to get it fixed.”
