A man in Nebraska was arrested after an allegedly violent encounter in which he was accused of assaulting and holding his former girlfriend captive inside a residence.

The situation reportedly began a few weeks earlier when the man was released on bond following a separate case involving allegations of strangulation. Later that day, his ex-girlfriend went to his home to bring him a homemade meal. She said that when she arrived, he attacked her until she lost consciousness. When she woke up, she reportedly found herself in a different house that he owned. The two stayed there together for several hours, and he allegedly made alarming statements, including asking her to end his life, and reportedly threatened to kill them both.

Law enforcement received information indicating that the woman might need help, and officers, accompanied by SWAT members, went to the address provided by the caller. They forced their way into the residence and found the pair inside. When they spoke with the woman, she said the man had been trying to release natural gas into the home. Authorities reported that the gas was still present. The woman also alleged that the man struck her in the head with a glass bottle and attempted to strangle her again as law enforcement entered.

A Philadelphia man is facing a multitude of charges after he was accused of attempting to steal a woman’s car while she was trying to put gas in the vehicle.

Early in the evening on August 14, a woman pulled into a Sunoco station in Feasterville to put gasoline in her car. She parked in front of one of the pumps and got out of the vehicle with her keys in her hand. After she began pumping the gas, a man driving a red truck pulled into the station and stopped near her car.

The driver reportedly got out of the truck and walked over to the woman’s car. He allegedly opened the passenger door and got inside, and then slid over to the driver’s side. He reportedly acted like he intended to steal the vehicle, but he was unable to start it since the owner had the fob. According to reports, when he realized it would not start he got out of the car and headed back to his truck and immediately drove away.

The mother of a 15-year-old is incarcerated and awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania after allegedly leaving the child behind without basic amenities when she moved to another state with her boyfriend.

At the end of last year, people in a Manheim Township neighborhood became suspicious when they didn’t see the mother of a teenager at home for weeks, but the boy was consistently at the residence.

On January 12, after someone reported the situation to the Manheim Township Police Department, officers were sent to the house to do a welfare check. When they talked to the boy, they reported that he said his mother moved away with her boyfriend about a month ago, but that they keep in touch online. He reportedly said she comes back once in a while, and she sends money on CashApp so he can buy food. Other family members, including the boy’s father, help him by allowing him to shower at their homes and giving him rides to the store.
