A Washington woman was arrested after the authorities said she led deputies on a high-speed pursuit through multiple counties before officers were able to stop the vehicle.
The authorities said deputies later located a white Chevrolet and attempted to stop the driver. She allegedly refused to pull over, leading deputies on a pursuit through the Puget Sound region as additional law enforcement vehicles responded.
Deputies eventually used spike strips in an attempt to slow the vehicle. The strips damaged one of the Chevrolet’s tires, but the driver allegedly continued traveling. Officers then used a Precision Immobilization Technique, commonly known as a PIT maneuver, to bring the pursuit to an end. The driver was ordered out of the vehicle and taken into custody.
