A Lexington Park man was taken into custody after the authorities reportedly found drugs and paraphernalia during a search of his residence and alleged that he was selling controlled substances to individuals in the area.

On October 9, investigators went to a residence in Lexington Park with a search warrant. During their search, the law enforcement officers reportedly found a piece of foil containing what was believed to be cocaine, a plastic bag with a substance identified as a cutting agent, and a digital scale showing signs of residue. They also reported finding a large amount of packaging materials, buprenorphine and naloxone, nitrile gloves, and multiple food assistance cards not belonging to the suspect.

Officials said the evidence was found in areas accessible to both the suspect and another individual who was referred to as a co-defendant, and they concluded that the items indicated intent to distribute narcotics. Investigators noted that some of the materials, such as nitrile gloves and packaging supplies, are often associated with drug preparation and handling. Food assistance cards were also described as items sometimes used as informal payment in drug exchanges.
