A Florida woman was arrested when the police reportedly caught her and a man having sexual relations in a cemetery and allegedly found her with drugs and paraphernalia.
The Wild Cow Prairie Cemetery in Sumter County is a burial site that serves as the final resting place of veterans, county commissioners, and former slaves. It earned a spot on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021. On the afternoon of March 27, a man and woman entered the location, which was reportedly closed to the public and had a lock on the entrance. While there, they decided to have sex in the graveyard. At the same time, a state trooper stopped in the parking lot to let their K9 have a break. The trooper saw an unattended vehicle and decided to have a look around.
It was reported that the trooper and other law enforcement officers who arrived at the cemetery discovered the couple mid-coitus. The officers accompanied them to their vehicle so they could get dressed, and the K9 reportedly signaled them to the possible presence of narcotics. When the car was searched, they allegedly found substances believed to be Xanax, Oxycodone, methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia.
