Tardy Dad Arrested After Attacking Officer

When a couple got into a fight because the father of their children was late picking them up it allegedly incited an assault upon an officer which resulted in the dad’s arrest.

28-year-old Terrion C. Taylor, his two children, and their mother reside together in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Late in the afternoon on October 2, Taylor reportedly arranged to pick up his children from their mom at a specific agreed-upon time, but the man was 5-minutes late when he arrived to retrieve them.

The woman was already in her car when Taylor showed up, and the two reportedly began to bicker about his tardiness.

As the woman pulled away and began driving down the road, Taylor allegedly hopped on the hood of her vehicle and began pounding on the windshield while the car was in motion.

A Wauwatosa police officer saw the man making contact with the vehicle and when he approached, he reported that it appeared as if Taylor was attempting to get inside, but the woman had locked the doors, and the windows were rolled up.

The officer attempted to grab ahold of Taylor, and the man allegedly responded in a manner that was interpreted as readying himself to physically fight.

In an effort to contain Taylor, the officer tried to force the man to the ground, but Taylor allegedly shook himself free and attempted to jump on the officer instead. The man reportedly started beating on the officer until he was placed in handcuffs.

Taylor was arrested, and he is facing charges for suspicion of disorderly conduct, and resisting an officer — causing injury.

It was reported that the officer’s hand and leg were scraped up, and it purportedly happened during the alleged fight with Taylor.
