Teacher Pregnant after Sexual Relations with Student

A Florida teacher accused of having sex with a 15-year-old has reported to the authorities that she is pregnant.

41-year-old Heiry Calvi was a teacher at John I. Smith K-8 Center in Doral.

J.C. Bermudez Sr. High School shares their campus, and both schools are a part of Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Last year, Calvi reportedly began tutoring a teenage boy at her residence.

Calvi and the student allegedly forged a close relationship, and their connection reportedly became sexual.

In March, the Miami-Dade Schools Police received reports from high school students about the 15-year-old Calvi was allegedly consorting with. The students reported that the boy was showing them videos of himself and Calvi having sex.

The authorities began to investigate the claims, and they searched the boy’s cell phone for evidence of an inappropriate relationship between the pair.

When they searched the teenager’s WhatsApp messages, the police said they saw several pictures of Calvi and the student together. In addition to photos of the pair in public settings, they claimed they found inappropriate sexual images.

The authorities reported that they found that Calvi had also allowed the young man to use her credit card. They also alleged that the pair openly expressed that they love each other.

It was reported that the student said he willingly had sex with Calvi, but he is under Florida’s legal age of consent.

Calvi was arrested on October 7, and she let the authorities know that she is pregnant. She is facing charges for suspicion of lewd and lascivious battery, electronic transmission harmful to minors, unlawful use of a communications device, child neglect, offenses against students by authority figures, and possession of a firearm on school property. She was released on bond two days later.

The school district reported that Calvi will be removed from her position and disallowed from working in the district in the future.
