According to reports, it was decided that a teenager who reportedly stabbed a dog and a man with a barbecue grill fork will be charged as an adult.
In the early morning hours on July 2, a bloody domestic incident reportedly occurred at a home in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Just after 1:00 AM, a 17-year-old in the residence asked a woman to drive him to a local Sheetz convenience store so he could pick up some food. Due to the hour, she told him she would not take him, but said he was welcome to eat what was already in the house. The teen allegedly became angry, and the situation intensified.
There was also a man and a dog at the home, and they reportedly became the victims of the young man’s alleged discontent. It was reported that the teenager got his hands on an estimated 6-inch to 8-inch barbecue fork and used it to stab the dog in the back leg. He also allegedly attempted to use it as a weapon against the man, who was cut when the teen reportedly tried to stab him in the face. Afterwards, he left the residence and rode away on his bicycle. The authorities were notified.
Officers from the Johnstown Police Department went to the address, and when they got there, they saw the dog had blood on its back leg and needed medical attention. It was noted that the man had a bleeding wound on his face near his eye.
The teen, who is being charged as an adult, was found at a later date and taken into custody. He is facing preliminary charges of one felony count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals, one misdemeanor count of simple assault, and one misdemeanor count of cruelty to animals. It was reported that he was released on unsecured bail.
