A woman’s husband was arrested after he allegedly entered the house of the man he believed she was sleeping with and removed the suspected offender’s penis with a pair of scissors.
49-year-old Alex Bonilla is a married man who lives in Bell, Florida.
Last May, Bonilla walked in on his spouse while she was having sex with one of their neighbors.
In what was reportedly a delayed response to the suspected adultery, on July 14, Bonilla allegedly armed himself with a gun and paid an unexpected visit to the home of the man he believed had sex with his wife.
When Bonilla confronted him, he reportedly threatened to end the man’s1 life with the gun if he didn’t cooperate with his commands. Bonilla then allegedly forced the man, whose two children were in the residence, up the staircase, and into a bedroom.
After they reached the room Bonilla reportedly restrained the alleged victim before using scissors to cut off the man’s penis.
Bonilla allegedly departed the home with the appendage in his hand immediately after the brutal assault.
The alleged victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and the man told deputies that his attacker was holding his detached member when he ran back to his own home across the street.
Deputies located Bonilla at his place of employment, and they reported that he had disclosed he found his wife having an affair with the alleged victim.
Bonilla was placed under arrest by the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office and charged with two counts of cruelty toward a child, and one count each of burglary, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, and the use of a firearm. He was incarcerated in lieu of a $1.2 million bond.
It has been reported that the victim is recovering, though it is unknown if he was able to have his penis reattached.
