Man Nabbed for Robbing Two Circle Ks at Gunpoint

A North Carolina man was arrested on nearly a dozen charges after he was accused of being the perpetrator of the armed robberies of two local convenience stores.

On September 5, the authorities were alerted when one of the Circle K convenience stores in Fayetteville reported that they experienced an armed robbery. The following day, another Circle K in Fayetteville reported that they, too, had been robbed by someone with a gun.

The Fayetteville Police Department opened an investigation and began trying to identify the suspect. Shortly after, someone who chose to remain anonymous told them they knew who was involved in the armed robberies. The man was tracked down and found at a private residence.

When the police and emergency response team went to the home, they began to surround the property, in addition to using police vehicles to block off the road. They determined that the suspect was inside and learned that others were with him. When they made their presence known, the others exited the house, but the suspect was not with them. The police believed he was intentionally evading them by locking himself inside the residence. Before they got into the home, the man came outside and cooperated with the authorities.

The man was taken into custody and booked into the Cumberland County Detention Center on multiple charges including two felony counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two felony counts of breaking and entering, three felony counts of possession of stolen goods/property, two felony counts of conspiracy, one misdemeanor count of possession of stolen goods, one misdemeanor count of larceny, and one misdemeanor count of possession of stolen goods. He is currently being held without bail.
