Teen Attempts to Rape Friend’s Mother While Spending the Night

An 18-year-old who was sleeping at his friend’s house on June 3 has been arrested for allegations that he attempted to rape his friend’s mother during the middle of the night.

Jordan Corter of Arlington, Texas, was staying over at his friend’s house for a social visit on Sunday night. When his friend’s mother was about to turn in she removed all of the alcohol in the house from the common areas and brought it in her bedroom. She then went to bed and locked the door to her room.

In the early hours on Monday morning near 2:30 am, Corter allegedly tapped on the woman’s secured door. The mom cracked the door a little to see who was knocking and Corter reportedly forced his way inside of her room and pushed her onto her bed. When he had the woman on her back he allegedly stuck his hands down the front of her pajama bottoms.

The woman struggled and kneed Corter in the groin area, and when she had the opportunity she got ahold of the pistol she kept in her bedroom. She aimed the weapon at his head and instructed him to get out of the house.

The following day the alleged victim showed up for work and told her boss what had reportedly transpired during the night, and he notified the authorities out of concern for her.

The woman gave a statement to the police about the events that allegedly took place, and they dispatched to Corter’s residence. According to police reports, Corter began to cry when they arrived, and reportedly expressed that he should not be excused for attempting to force “the victim to do the things she didn’t want to do.”

Corter was taken into custody and booked at the Shelby County Jail where he is being charged with attempted rape, and sexual battery. His bond was set at $30,000 and he was released after it was submitted on June 6.

Corter is currently awaiting a scheduled court appearance set for June 28. His family has lent their support to him and stated that he is a good kid.

The alleged victim said that she was not injured or penetrated by Corter during the event, but she did give herself a black eye by accident during the struggle.
