After being asked to depart from the premises for allegedly causing a commotion, a Florida man reportedly smashed the drive-thru window at a McDonald’s and became physically aggressive with the manager.
My-chael Jordan is a 33-year-old man living in Pinellas Park, Florida.
In the early morning hours on May 31, Jordan reportedly visited a McDonald’s for something to eat.
According to the police report, the man “caused a disturbance at the business drive-thru,” resulting in the manager asking him to depart from the premises.
The manager reported that Jordan refused to leave, and the man allegedly shattered the glass drive-thru window. Jordan reportedly climbed through the opening and grabbed ahold of the manager before shoving her.
The authorities were notified, and several officers responded to the call.
When they decided to place the man under arrest for the allegations, the police said Jordan became very hostile and aggressive. He allegedly “braced, tensed, spit, and actively resisted” when the officers tried to detain him.
Three officers working together reported that they could not get ahold of Jordan, and they decided to use a taser on the man. After discharging one of the devices several times, it was noted that Jordan was not affected by the shocks.
Jordan was eventually subdued and taken into custody, and he was booked into the Pinellas County Jail. He is expected to face and charges for felony burglary with assault or battery, and three felony counts of resisting a police officer with violence. He is being held on a $150,000 bond.
All three of the officers trying to arrest Jordan reportedly suffered from small injuries during the alleged scuffle. One of the body-worn cameras was reportedly knocked off of an officer, and another officer dropped gun magazines while attempting to detain Jordan.
