Several months ago, a man stationed in North Carolina before he was discharged from the military was perusing TikTok when he came across the content of a woman with 1.5 million followers. He allegedly developed fantasies about having a relationship with her and reportedly believed mystical forces intervened and led him to the woman he was meant to be with.
In January, the woman believed the man might be stalking her after she posted pictures of herself on Laguna Beach when she was in California, and he allegedly figured out where she was and photographed himself in the same spot. The woman blocked the TikTok account he was using at the time, in addition to more than 20 accounts she believed he was operating.
The woman resides in Florida, and on May 5, she went to a Palm Coast beach and took pictures of herself while there. A few hours later, the man, who was AWOL, allegedly went to the same location and snapped selfies. He also reportedly went to her residence, which he later allegedly said he found by having “visions.” The woman notified the police, and when they arrived, the suspect had already left the premises.
On May 23, the man reportedly returned to the woman’s home. She called the authorities, and when deputies arrived, they stopped him as he was walking away from the door.
The man was taken into custody and booked into the Flagler County Jail. He is facing preliminary charges for aggravated stalking and was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
