Blue Slime Helped Police Capture Wanted Attempted Kidnapper

The authorities believe they located a man who tried to kidnap a young girl from a bus stop when they matched blue slime on his arm to the squishy toy the girl was playing with at the time of the attempted abduction.

A few weeks ago, an 11-year-old girl was sitting at her bus stop in Pensacola waiting for the school bus to arrive when a man reportedly began to interact with her. The girl reportedly felt uncomfortable about the situation, and she alerted her school about it.

Around 7:00 am last Tuesday, the girl was waiting alone for the bus when the same man allegedly showed up at the stop.

The child, who was by herself and had “blue slime” in her hands, was approached by a man who emerged from a van and was reportedly holding a knife.

The young girl was able to get away from the man by fighting and struggling, and he quickly returned to his vehicle as the child fled in the opposite direction.

The authorities were notified about the alleged attempted snatching of the girl, and they collected surrounding surveillance video depicting the incident as it happened.

The images in the video were clear enough for the police to believe that 30-year-old Jared Stanga was the suspect they were seeking.

When the police located Stanga at a local residence, they alleged that his truck had fresh paint on it. They asserted that the man had thrown the differently colored coat on the vehicle to try to keep it from being recognized.

The officers reportedly noticed that Stanga was sporting a blue spot on his arm, and they believed it was the same substance the girl was playing with at the bus stop.

Stanga, who has a rap sheet including a situation involving sexual offenses with a child, was taken into custody and booked into the Escambia County jail. He is expected to face charges for suspicion of attempted kidnapping of a child under 13, aggravated assault, and battery. He is being held without bond.
