Boyfriend Battered for Cutting Dinner Improperly

A man’s girlfriend was taken into custody for domestic battery after she allegedly hit her boyfriend for cutting the meat and potatoes intended for dinner in a way that made her displeased.

55-year-old Kimberly Jean Carroll and her boyfriend have lived together for the past 5 years.

At dinnertime on July 24, beef and potatoes were reportedly on the menu and Carroll allegedly became miffed with the way the man had chosen to cut the food.

The issue allegedly sparked an argument between the couple, which was said to have escalated to the point where Carroll eventually responded with physical violence when she allegedly punched her boyfriend in the face before spitting toward where he was standing.

The authorities arrived at the Ellenton home where the incident was reported as taking place, and they spoke with the alleged victim. The man gave them a recount of the events, but he said that he was not going to press charges against his girlfriend, and he did not wish her to be taken into custody. He also refused to prepare and sign a victim statement for the court.

Despite the alleged victim’s disinterest in taking the matter further, Carroll was placed under arrest and booked into the Manatee County Jail.

Carroll is facing charges for suspicion of one count of misdemeanor domestic battery, and her next scheduled court appearance regarding the accusation is on August 24.
