A man in Kentucky is facing multiple charges after the father of a 13-year-old girl found him lying naked on his daughter’s bedroom floor.
According to reports, a 20-year-old man from Louisville had been communicating with a 13-year-old girl whose family home is in Florence. The pair reportedly decided to meet, allegedly to have sex, and on the evening of April 28, the man went to her residence to see the teen.
When the man got there, the pair went to her bedroom, and they made enough noise that her father woke up. When he went to investigate the sounds, he went into his daughter’s room and reportedly saw a naked man lying on the floor. Her dad has a gun, and he went to get it after saying he was going to call the authorities. Before he was able to grab it, the man quickly left the home and drove off in his vehicle. The angry dad stepped outside onto the porch, aimed the gun at the ground, and fired the gun three times before calling the police.
Deputies from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office went to the address to investigate, and the girl’s father gave them his account of what transpired. Since law enforcement was initially sent to the scene over reported gunfire, the man added that he was the individual who fired the shots. The surrounding area was searched, and the deputies located the car of the man they believed was the suspect. They continued looking for him, and he was found nearby with the assistance of a drone.
The man was booked into the Boone County Jail. He is facing preliminary charges of two counts of rape in the second degree, one count of sodomy in the second degree, and one count of burglary. At the time this was written, he was being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
