A Florida man dressed up in a Joker Halloween costume was reportedly found in a field in his vehicle with a blood-alcohol level over twice the legal limit.
Late in the evening on October 28, a 34-year-old man from Ocoee was in Leesburg wearing a Joker costume while behind the wheel of a black Dodge Ram.
The man reportedly drove his truck into a field in a residential neighborhood. According to reports, the engine was running, and he remained in the spot for a long time.
Someone nearby saw the vehicle and noted that it had been there for over an hour.
The witness called the authorities and let them know that the man was sitting in the truck and revving the engine for at least 60 minutes.
Officers from the Leesburg Police Department went to the area and reported that they saw the man in a Joker costume standing next to the truck when they arrived.
When the officers talked to him, they reported that he smelled like he had been drinking alcoholic beverages.
The police asked the man why he was in the field, and he reportedly told them that he was trying to move his truck. He also told them that he knew he was very intoxicated.
It was reported that the man was asked to take roadside sobriety tests, but he told the officers that he was feeling ill, and he would not be able to do the exercises.
He reportedly consented to a breath test, and the machine recorded his BAC as .177 and .168.
The suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into the Lake County Jail. Shortly after he was booked, the man was released on a $1,000 bond.
