Man Stole Credit Cards from Cars at Nashville Parks

A man was taken into custody after the police asserted that he is connected to a string of thefts where items were taken from several vehicles at local greenways and parks.

Throughout the month of February, the authorities in Nashville received several notifications from people who had items stolen from their parked cars. The alleged victims had their vehicles parked at dog parks and greenways in the area.

On February 5, a woman who had parked her car and left it unlocked at Two Rivers Dog Park reported that when she got into her vehicle, she noticed her wallet was no longer there.

The woman said that her financial institutions contacted her to let her know that more than one of her credit cards had been flagged for possible fraudulent use. Dollar General, Kroger, and Walgreens were a few of the places where purchases were reportedly made with stolen credit cards.

More burglaries were reported throughout the month by people who had parked their cars at parks and hiking spots in the Nashville area.

While investigators were inspecting evidence from Two Rivers Dog Park, where more than one victim was targeted, they reported that they discovered information leading them to believe 34-year-old Charles Farr was the perpetrator they were searching for.

When they located the man, the authorities searched the inside of Farr’s vehicle. They reportedly found three credit cards with the names of victims of reported thefts. They additionally allegedly discovered 37 prepaid gift cards, two hammers asserted to be burglary tools, and two grams of marijuana.

The investigators believe Farr was using the allegedly stolen credit cards to obtain the prepaid gift cards.

On March 7, the Hermitage Community Engagement Team and the Hermitage Community Field Intelligence Team placed Farr under arrest for the allegations. He was booked and charged with four counts of felony vehicle burglary and five counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.
