On Thursday night an alleged robbery took place at the spot that hosts Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star, and the person suspected of the crime turned himself in on the following afternoon.
On July 26 near 10:00 pm two men were reportedly involved in a physical altercation resulting in one of the men having his camera stolen by the suspected perpetrator of the incident. The theft took place where Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is placed.
19-year-old Julio Gomez, a young man who has a reputation for spending a lot of time around the area that the robbery happened, is the person that the authorities believe was responsible for the heist.
On Friday, the day following the purported mugging, Gomez went to the Los Angeles Police Department in Hollywood and surrendered himself for the accusations.
Gomez was taken into custody and he is facing charges of felony robbery. His bail was set at $50,000, and as recorded by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department he was released on Sunday around 4:00 pm. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 23 regarding the charges.
Investigators are still trying to locate the camera that was stolen from the alleged victim.
