Son Hit Mom With Sausages For Preparing Food Too Slowly

A man was accused of engaging in a physical altercation with his mother which reportedly included him throwing sausages at her, and he is facing domestic violence charges.

Hermes Callijas-Gasperin is a 22-year-old man who lives with his 41-year-old mother in Bradenton, Florida.

While Callijas-Gasperin was snacking on some canned sausages he reportedly asked his mom to prepare food for him. His mother agreed to make it but told him that he would have to wait a little bit because she was already in the middle of doing something.

When he was told that she would not immediately meet his request it was reported that Callijas-Gasperin became upset and allegedly flung the rest of the contents of the sausage can at his mom causing one of them to hit her eye. It was additionally claimed that he placed his hands on her throat and shoved her, though she was able to breathe and she did not fall to the ground according to the sheriff’s office report.

When officers asked Callijas-Gasperin to explain the situation from his perspective he reportedly said that his mother had intentionally bumped into him while he was in the kitchen but had she apologized he would not have hit her with the sausages, and he was not wrong in his choice of response.

Although the authorities did not find any visible marks on the alleged victim Callijas-Gasperin was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, and he is being held in lieu of $750 bond. He is also prohibited from coming within 500 feet of his mother.
