Southwest Passenger Openly Masturbated for an Hour During Flight

A man allegedly masturbated on a flight in front of the woman in the seat next to him for about an hour and reportedly said that he did not think it was wrong for him to do so.

On April 2, Antonio Sherrodd McGarity was taking a two-and-a-half-hour flight from Seattle to Phoenix.

At the start of the approximately two-and-a-half-hour flight, McGarity was sitting next to a female passenger.

After the plane took off, the man allegedly began to expose his genitals to the woman next to him. He reportedly proceeded to masturbate on and off four times over the course of an hour.

It was reported that the woman was extremely uncomfortable while McGarity was allegedly partaking in the in-flight public self-pleasure. When the man fell asleep, the woman, who used her phone to take pictures of McGarity’s privates while he was exposed, alerted a flight attendant about the situation. She was moved to a new seat for the remainder of the flight.

The Phoenix Police Department was waiting for the flight to land at Sky Harbor International Airport, and McGarity was held and questioned by the FBI.

According to reports, McGarity said he did not think he did anything wrong by masturbating in front of the woman. He said he noticed she was taking pictures and reportedly asked if she was okay with his actions. McGarity said she allegedly “put her hands in the air and said, ‘it really doesn’t matter.’”

McGarity was taken into custody, and he is facing a federal count of lewd, indecent, or obscene acts on an aircraft.

Southwest Airlines put his name on their no-fly list, so he is banned from using their services for the rest of his life.
