Mom’s Lost Meth Found in Child’s Lunch Bag at Daycare

After a Louisiana mother reportedly lost track of her drugs, the methamphetamine and prescription pills were allegedly discovered in her four-year-old’s lunch bag at the child’s daycare center.

35-year-old Jennifer Wise has a 4-year-old daughter, and they live in West Monroe.

On March 4, Wise reportedly met with someone and made a $75 purchase of narcotics.

It was reported that the woman misplaced the substances after she bought them.

The following day, Wise, who still reportedly could not find her missing items, packed her daughter’s lunch and dropped her off at daycare.

When an employee at the daycare center looked in the girl’s lunch bag, they allegedly discovered 5 and a half Clonazepam pills, half of a Xanax bar, and a substance purported to be a gram of methamphetamine.

The Louisiana State Police were notified, and they went to Wise’s home to investigate the situation.

While they were at the residence, the police inspected the premises and reported that they found nine grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, small plastic baggies, and digital scales. They purported that Wise was selling the substance to others.

The woman allegedly admitted to the police that she bought, and then lost, the pills and meth that were reportedly found in her daughter’s lunch.

Wise, who has priors for drug offenses, was taken into custody and booked into the Ouachita County Jail in lieu of a $14,500 bond. She may face charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a schedule IV drug (Xanax and Clonazepam), possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug-free zone, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
