Former MLB pitcher Matt Bush was arrested last week after allegedly driving under the influence and causing several cars to crash while reportedly trying to escape from the police.

38-year-old Matt Bush was a Major League Baseball player who was a pitcher for the Texas Rangers and Milwaukee Brewers. He has had several run-ins with the law since 2004, including DUI with great bodily injury in 2012 which resulted in a 51-month prison sentence. It was reported that he has struggled with alcoholism for many years.

On the evening of October 4, Bush was driving a Lincoln Aviator on the parkway in Arlington. Just before 8:30 PM, officers from the Arlington Police Department spotted the vehicle and believed it was being driven erratically. When they tried to perform a traffic stop, Bush reportedly increased his speed to try to get away. Within minutes, the authorities were notified about an accident that happened nearby. The police went to the scene, and they identified Bush as the driver who caused the crash, which involved three other vehicles. They reported that Bush failed to stop at a red light, causing him to smash into three cars that were idle at the traffic signal. Before the authorities arrived, it was reported that Bush tried to run away from the area, but others at the scene forced him to stay.

During the traffic stop of a dad in West Virginia, an officer allegedly found a gun in the vehicle and a 7-ounce bag of methamphetamine in his teenage daughter’s sweatshirt.

On June 9, a man was cruising down the highway in Arlington with his 2 daughters, ages 12 and 14. A deputy from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling the area, and they noticed that the vehicle had dark-tinted windows. They also believed the exhaust was unusually loud, so they performed a traffic stop.

The driver pulled over, and when he first talked to the deputy, he was asked for the usual items, such as proof of registration. When he was unable to give that to the deputy, the vehicle’s status was checked. In addition to having illegal inspection stickers, the authorities discovered the car was reported stolen in Ohio. The man explained he made a deal with the owner and traded his truck for the vehicle. He said he still had to take care of the title change.

An 18-year-old who was sleeping at his friend’s house on June 3 has been arrested for allegations that he attempted to rape his friend’s mother during the middle of the night.

Jordan Corter of Arlington, Texas, was staying over at his friend’s house for a social visit on Sunday night. When his friend’s mother was about to turn in she removed all of the alcohol in the house from the common areas and brought it in her bedroom. She then went to bed and locked the door to her room.

In the early hours on Monday morning near 2:30 am, Corter allegedly tapped on the woman’s secured door. The mom cracked the door a little to see who was knocking and Corter reportedly forced his way inside of her room and pushed her onto her bed. When he had the woman on her back he allegedly stuck his hands down the front of her pajama bottoms.
