The mother and stepfather of a 10-year-old are facing charges after she reportedly had her hand burned on a stovetop as a form of punishment.

On April 19, a young girl and her brother were at their Biscayne Gardens, Florida, home with their stepdad, who was taking care of them while their mom was at work. The child pushed her sibling, and their stepdad reportedly forced her into the kitchen and made her hold her hand on a hot, coiled burner on the stovetop to punish her. After she got away from the 42-year-old man, the injured girl reportedly called her mother to tell her what happened. The woman allegedly did not try to help her, and the child was reportedly not taken for medical treatment.

When the child returned to school on Monday, her teacher saw that her hand was badly burned, and the girl told her that her stepfather had hurt her. The school notified the authorities about the situation, and an investigation was opened. Deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office went to the family’s residence, where they found the parents.

An elementary school principal and teacher were arrested when they were reportedly caught hosting a party with alcohol for over 100 underage attendees.

According to reports, on January 19, the principal of Roosevelt Elementary School in Cocoa Beach held a large party at her residence. She allegedly set out coolers filled with alcoholic beverages for her guests. The woman reportedly entertained over 100 individuals between 13 and 17 years old. A third-grade teacher was also reportedly in attendance, and she, along with the underage partygoers, was allegedly consuming alcohol.

Someone called the authorities to report the event, and officers from the Cocoa Beach Police Department went to the address. The outside of the house was dark, and the police believed the homeowner turned off the exterior lights to make it look like nothing was going on. They reported that they found an underage individual on the lawn who was so drunk that they needed medical intervention, and EMS was called to the scene to help. The police also noted that many teenagers at the residence were drinking, and the third-grade teacher appeared to be intoxicated. Nearby, an underage driver who was believed to be a guest at the party was arrested for DUI.

An intoxicated mother in Oklahoma was arrested after allegedly attempting to leave her youngsters at a gas station so she could go to someone’s home to have a sexual encounter.

According to reports, on the evening of June 13, the mother of a 6-year-old, 4-month-old, and 11-month-old put her kids in the car while reportedly trying to connect with their father to exchange custody of them. Her 6-year-old unexpectedly jumped out of the vehicle, and she had to call the police for assistance locating them. Multiple officers responded and looked for the youngster. They were initially unsuccessful, but after a more extensive search, they found the child at a relative’s home.

With her two younger children and an adult passenger, the woman drove to a nearby 7-Eleven gas station. Someone at the store reportedly saw her pull in, and they believed she had been drinking alcohol. They reportedly watched as the woman allegedly grabbed one of the babies by the arm and dropped them on the ground. The adult passenger reportedly put the child back into the automobile while the woman was allegedly trying to remove the other. Ultimately, she drove away with both youngsters.

A woman in West Virginia is facing charges after she was accused of crashing into a fence while driving under the influence of alcohol with underage passengers in her car.

“Fear on the Farm” is a popular seasonal attraction in Winfield. According to its website, haunted houses, escape rooms, and rides are some of the activities guests can participate in at what it refers to as “West Virginia’s premier haunted attraction.”

Last Thursday, a mom gave her child and some of their friends a ride to Fear on the Farm, and their time in the car reportedly provided the first fright of the evening. It was reported that when they reached their destination, the woman slammed the back of the vehicle into a fence. When they got out of the car, one of the underage passengers called her mom and let her know that she thought her friend’s mother was drunk.

A woman in Florida was arrested after allegedly abandoning two of her three children at a local hospital.

On August 14, a woman from Dothan, Alabama, was driving in Destin, Florida, with her three children, one of whom is an infant, in the car. She reportedly did not stop the vehicle, but she allegedly told one of the older children to take the baby from the car seat and change their diaper. It was reported that the youngster refused to remove the baby from the car seat while the car was moving.

According to reports, the woman stopped at HCA Florida Destin Emergency. She reportedly told the older children she needed money for gas, and she told them to go into the hospital to see if they could find anything. When they got out of the vehicle, a security guard allegedly saw their mother drive away with the baby, leaving the other youngsters behind. The guard accompanied them into the hospital.

According to reports, three adults, six dogs, three cats, and three children ages 2, 4, and 18 months live together in a doublewide trailer in Stillwater.

The authorities were investigating the family for possible child sexual abuse, and when they went to the residence, they reportedly found it in an unlivable condition.

The Stillwater Police Detective Sergeant stated, “We could not complete the walk-through without taking breaks outside for fresh air. I noticed there actually was carpet in the living room. It was saturated with so much urine and feces and walked all over that it was smashed down to a hard surface. My boots stuck to the flooring.” There was also feces smeared all over the walls and holes in the drywall.

Five children were removed from the custody of their parents by DCS after a traffic stop revealed that the dad had a small amount of marijuana in his possession, and the agency has refused to give the youngsters back for over a month. 

Last month, a Black family from Georgia loaded up their Dodge Durango with their five children, ages 5, 3, 2, and 4 months. They were taking a road trip to Chicago to attend a funeral. 

On February 17, the family was driving through Manchester, Tennessee. The kids were sleeping in the back seat.

A Florida Man allegedly found with an alligator in his bathtub is facing several charges after the authorities asserted that he was a participant in a venomous reptile trafficking ring. 

In 2020, The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was notified by more than one person about black market sales of illegal venomous reptiles in the state. An investigation was started by the FWC and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources regarding the allegations.  

The authorities learned that the alleged activity was happening on the internet.

A mother was arrested after allegedly spending 2 hours gambling inside an adult arcade while her baby was alone in the car with the windows rolled up. 

32-year-old Bionca Lockett is a Florida woman with an infant daughter. 

Early in the afternoon on March 4, Lockett reportedly strapped her child into a car seat and drove her black Nissan Sentra to the Pirates North Arcade in Sebastian.

A school bus driver in Florida has been accused of having four times over the legal BAC while he drove an afternoon route carrying 40 middle school student passengers. 

60-year-old Mark McNeil lives in Ormond Beach, Florida. He is employed as a bus driver for the Flagler County School District. 

On the afternoon of February 9, McNeil went to work to pick up a bus for the afternoon run at Buddy Taylor Middle School.
