A Florida woman and her juvenile daughter were stopped by the authorities after an investigation into the alleged theft of more than $2,000 worth of merchandise from a Disney collectibles store in Orlando.
According to investigators, the pair had recently left a store that specializes in Disney trading pins when employees reported suspicious activity. The collectible pins feature Disney characters, attractions, and special events and are popular among guests who trade them with other collectors.
After locating the pair, deputies reportedly found a large amount of merchandise in their possession. Investigators said the juvenile was carrying most of the items, which had an estimated value of more than $2,000. The woman was allegedly found with several additional items worth about $40.
