A pair of Pennsylvania caregivers was taken into custody after authorities learned of severe mistreatment involving their adopted teenage son.

School staff contacted police in early September when the 16-year-old arrived looking underweight after months without in-person classes. Investigators said he reported being confined to a nearly empty room under constant camera surveillance, punished for moving around, and denied regular meals, leading to significant weight loss. He also reportedly described being forced into cold showers, made to stay in the basement with minimal clothing, and at times bound to the floor with duct tape. It was reported that the teenager told officers he had been cut with a blade and threatened with additional harm. Child welfare officials removed him from the home, and medical staff helped him regain weight within weeks.

Both women were taken into custody and booked into the Jefferson County Jail. They are facing many charges, including more than 460 second-degree felony counts of unlawful restraint of a minor by a parent with risk of bodily injury, more than 460 second-degree felony counts of false imprisonment of a minor by a parent, two second-degree felony counts of endangering the welfare of children by a parent, six third-degree felony counts of endangering the welfare of children by a parent, two first-degree felony counts of aggravated assault with attempts to cause serious bodily injury with extreme indifference, one second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with attempts to cause serious bodily injury with extreme indifference, one count of second-degree felony strangulation, one first-degree felony count of involuntary servitude, five second-degree misdemeanor counts of simple assault, five second-degree misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person, three first-degree misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, and one second-degree misdemeanor count of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. At the time this was written, both women were being held in lieu of $500,000 bonds.

A West Virginia middle school teacher has been accused of abusing a student after she allegedly wrapped his head, mouth, and limbs in duct tape as punishment.

For four days at the beginning of October, a teacher at Central Preston Middle School in Kingwood, who is also the president of the West Virginia Education Association’s Preston County chapter, reportedly harmed one of the children in her class as a disciplinary measure.

According to reports, each day from October 2 to October 5, the woman allegedly mistreated the youngster during class time in front of the other students.

A man who allegedly stalked a WWE star for several years on social media was accused of breaking into her home and attempting a kidnapping.

26-year-old Daria Rae Berenato resides in Lutz, Florida, and she is a professional MMA fighter who holds a contract with WWE under the ring name Sonya Deville, in addition to starring on the reality show Total Divas. Berenato is also the first female wrestler in the WWE to openly announce that she is gay.

Around 3:00 am on August 16, the police received a report that Berenado’s home was breached by someone who triggered the alarm system when entering through a door.

A woman is has been charged for allegations of sexually abusing a man who was unconscious during the purportedly unwanted encounter.

36-year-old Jennifer Marie Johnson, a resident of Northport, Alabama, recently reportedly obtained a new vehicle to replace her 1998 Ford Mustang.

The woman found a 2013 Honda Civic that was available and she offered a deal to the sellers wherein she would trade her current automobile in addition to $500 for the Honda. The transaction was completed and Johnson, who is recorded as a prostitute by trade, began to operate the vehicle as her own.
