When 911 received an abundance of calls from a woman reporting that her boyfriend was being mean to her, the police alleged that she exploited the system by falsifying her need for help.

Last week 40-year-old Mary Ann Parrish and her boyfriend were apparently not seeing eye-to-eye, and the woman was reported as calling 911 half a dozen times in a four-hour period to let them know that he was acting like a jerk.

When a deputy dispatched to the Lacoochee, Florida, home to investigate the reason behind the alleged barrage of calls for emergency assistance it was reported that Parrish again notified 911 while he was already at the location.

A man from Anaheim who is a driver for Uber is suspected of attempting to kidnap up to four different rides that he was providing services for in Santa Monica.

On Halloween night, a car matching the description of a vehicle authorized to serve as an Uber was reported to 911 just before 7:00 pm by a woman inside of the car. The customer reported that she had ordered a ride and her driver was not allowing her to get out of the car.

Police dispatched to search for the blue Prius that the woman reported. While they were in the process of looking they were notified of three more calls that were received by emergency services with reports of the same type of car, and the callers said that the driver had tried to kidnap them. All of the people additionally stated that they had the impression that the driver had a gun in the vehicle with him.

A man from Virginia is facing charges after a Florida officer allegedly found him napping in his underpants inside his vehicle, which reportedly contained marijuana, on the side of the Interstate.

Just before midnight on September 14, a Highway Patrol officer saw a car parked on the side of the road on Interstate 95 with the emergency flashers turned on.

As the officer approached the vehicle it was reported that the man inside was asleep and wearing nothing but a pair of underwear.

An off-duty Orange County police officer who was accused of driving under the influence in May after he was allegedly discovered asleep at the wheel on the freeway attended his arraignment on Monday.

32-year-old Jared Russell Doyle, an officer with the Garden Grove Police Department, was reportedly driving down the 55 Freeway on the morning of May 27 and his vehicle, which failed to remain in one designated lane, stopped in the middle of the road.

Doyle, who was off-duty at the time, had allegedly fallen asleep while driving which is what is suspected as the reason his car stopped short in traffic.

While the North Bay fires continue to burn, a man was arrested for allegedly stealing from a car in an evacuation zone. Upon investigation police also discovered other items believed to be stolen such as pharmaceuticals, sunglasses and a fire department’s emergency fire shelter kit marked “SMFD.”

Sgt. Spencer Crum of the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a fight on Thursday. When speaking to Crum the person who reported the confrontation claimed to overhear the alleged perpetrator telling a neighbor that he only stole a pair of glasses, and then he proceeded to ride away from the altercation on his bicycle.

Deputies contacted 30-year-old Morgan Plumere, the suspected culprit in the lootings. They found him holding a prescription pill bottle with a woman’s name on the label, insulin, unused syringes, an unknown white substance in a bag and an emergency fire kit. They also discovered a portable radio suspected of being stolen from La Prenda Vineyards on October 5.
