A Wisconsin woman was arrested following accusations of a violent early-morning attack on a pregnant mother outside her workplace.

According to police, the attack happened around 7 a.m. on January 15 in Racine. The alleged victim, a mother of two who is pregnant, had just finished her shift at a group home where she works as a caregiver. As she walked outside to warm up her car, she was allegedly ambushed by two people who were waiting nearby.

Police allege the attackers were wearing masks and were armed with a metal baseball bat. Surveillance footage from a nearby Ring camera reportedly shows the pair sneaking up on the woman before the assault began.

The caregiver for an elderly deaf man in Tennessee was accused of becoming frustrated with her patient and allegedly throwing a pot of boiling water at him leaving him with second and third-degree burns.

According to reports, late in the evening on January 21, a 45-year-old woman who has worked as a caregiver for 15 years was taking care of her patient in a group home in Memphis. The elderly man is hearing impaired, in addition to having diagnoses of schizophrenia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The patient was boiling water in a pot so he could prepare noodles, and the caregiver, who was allegedly angry, reportedly told him to leave the kitchen and go to the living room.

The man did as she asked, but the woman was reportedly still upset. She allegedly grabbed the pot, in which the water was now boiling, and threw it at her patient. The police report says the man had severe burns on “his face, shoulder, and right side of his back.”

A man from New Hampshire was arrested in Florida last week after allegedly stealing a group home transportation vehicle with a wheelchair-dependent non-verbal passenger inside. 

On January 31, the driver of a group home van had a passenger who uses a wheelchair. The man is also non-verbal. 

While the driver was en route to the destination, he reportedly pulled into the parking lot of a St. Lucie liquor store around 2:00 PM. The vehicle was reportedly left running while the man went into the business. The passenger remained in the van.
