A 21-year-old Indiana mother is facing a felony neglect charge after investigators said her 4-year-old daughter was left without adequate supervision while staying with her at a hotel.

The investigation reportedly led to allegations unrelated to what initially brought police to the location, as authorities said they had reason to believe that the mother was soliciting customers for sex work from the room and allowing multiple people inside while her daughter was there. Investigators said they could not determine who was watching the child during those encounters.

According to reports, the police also found evidence of drug activity. They reported that a search of the mother’s cellphone showed that she used the internet to look up methamphetamine and ecstasy. Investigators later said the mother attempted to avoid a drug test by submitting water instead of urine. She allegedly admitted she substituted the sample because she had been smoking marijuana.

A Jonesboro man is facing charges after authorities allegedly discovered cocaine, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia while executing a search warrant at his residence.

According to court documents, investigators searched the home on June 17 after completing a drug investigation that had been underway for several months. During the search, authorities reportedly located digital scales containing white residue, dishes with residue, opened boxes of sandwich baggies, and cleaning product containers that had been hollowed out and used to conceal narcotics.

Investigators also found an empty box of baking soda, which they believed may have been used to make crack cocaine. Authorities said the search resulted in the seizure of approximately 16.94 grams of cocaine and 44.17 grams of crack cocaine.

The authorities in New Jersey announced the arrests of 13 residents accused of taking part in an alleged human trafficking and drug distribution operation that investigators said had been active across several counties since early 2025.

According to court documents, the investigation was led by the New Jersey State Police Human Trafficking Unit and focused on activity in Middlesex, Ocean, Camden, and Burlington counties. The case allegedly involved commercial sex operations run out of multiple hotels in Central and South Jersey.

On May 7, the authorities executed search warrants at several hotels and residences. Investigators said they recovered about 15 alleged victims during those searches. Officials also seized suspected narcotics, cash, and drug-related items tied to the operation.

A South Florida man was facing several felony charges after investigators allegedly found stolen mail, identification cards belonging to other people, and multiple types of drugs inside a vehicle during a mail theft investigation in Miami-Dade County.

According to the authorities, investigators had been looking into recent mail thefts connected to a residential community where individuals previously reported stolen checks, credit cards, and personal property. Surveillance footage from one of the incidents allegedly showed two people working together before leaving the area in a white SUV with what was assumed to be stolen mail.

During the investigation, postal inspectors and local deputies reportedly went to a home in southwest Miami-Dade. Investigators allegedly saw the suspect sitting inside a gray Chevrolet parked in the driveway. As he got out of the vehicle, opened mail reportedly fell onto the ground.

A discarded backpack filled with suspected drugs led the authorities to arrest a man and woman after they reportedly returned to retrieve it hours later near a highway bypass.

According to the authorities, the investigation began when a resident called 911 to report that two individuals in a white SUV had allegedly thrown a black backpack onto private property along a road just off the highway. Deputies later recovered the bag and said it contained a large quantity of suspected meth, a smaller amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and personal belongings.

The investigators removed the suspected drugs and placed the backpack back where it had been found while monitoring the area with a trail camera. The authorities said they believed the individuals would return.

A 43-year-old man was reportedly taken into custody in Portland and arraigned on multiple felony charges, including first-degree attempted rape, kidnapping, and burglary, after a series of alleged incidents in a residential neighborhood.

According to the authorities, the suspect was located shortly after a reported attack when a group of about 15 people followed him through the area, pointing him out to officers. He was taken into custody without incident, but police said he made inappropriate remarks to a responding officer at the time of his arrest.

Investigators later stated that the man was suspected of approaching several women earlier that day. In one case, he allegedly entered a nearby church and inappropriately touched a woman before leaving. The authorities also reported that two other women in the neighborhood were grabbed by the suspect as he passed them on the street.

In the early hours of December 15, 2025, Howell County deputies were called to a residence after receiving reports that someone was attempting to break into a home. When law enforcement arrived, they saw two men near the property. It was reported that one fled into the surrounding woods, while the other got into a dark SUV. Attempts to communicate with him failed, and deputies noticed him repeatedly reaching into his waistband and pockets, raising concerns that he could have a weapon.

The deputies tried multiple measures to gain control of the situation. Taser deployments, pepper spray, and a K9 unit were all used in an effort to stop the vehicle, but the driver reportedly still got away, initiating a high-speed pursuit along the U.S. Highway, where speeds reached close to 100 miles per hour at times.

Tactical interventions were used to try to halt the vehicle, which eventually struck a telephone pole and later rolled over after colliding with a guardrail. The deputies were able to safely extract the man from the wreckage.

A Nevada man was charged with several criminal offenses when his infant reportedly tested positive for multiple controlled substances and ended up in the pediatric intensive care unit.

According to reports from the authorities, early last week, a 9-month-old experienced a medical emergency and was rushed to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno. At this time, the specifics of why the infant needed immediate care were not made public, but it was reported that the hospital staff had to administer CPR to stabilize the baby. The situation was reported to the authorities, and deputies from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office went to the medical center to investigate.

The medical professionals reported that during their treatment of the infant, they did blood tests, which allegedly showed positive results for methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, and barbiturates. The deputies wanted to talk to the baby’s parents, but the father, who was present earlier, had reportedly left the building before they arrived. They spoke to the infant’s mom, and when the man came back to the medical center a while later, he talked to detectives.

A Florida man was arrested after it was believed that he was the owner of an alleged drug-carrying drone that crashed into someone’s residence.

Early in the morning on August 19, residents of a home in Lutz were inside when a loud noise outside caught their attention. They believed the sound originated from the backyard area, and when they went to investigate, they reportedly found a drone on the ground. When they brought it inside, they alleged that there were bags of what looked like narcotics attached to the object. A few moments later, a man reportedly knocked on their door a few times and asked if he could enter the yard. The homeowners notified the authorities.

Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office went to the address to investigate, and they saw a man in the driveway with a remote control in his hand. He reportedly told them he was trying to get the drone, and the deputies presumed the attached baggies also belonged to him. They believed he was trying to use the drone to deliver the drugs, later identified as methamphetamine and fentanyl.
