A Texas man who was recently released from prison for the same crime was arrested at a gym after allegedly stabbing a fellow gym member in the buttocks with a knife during a dispute about the leg press machine.
On the morning of February 16, a 69-year-old man went to an LA Fitness gym in North Austin, Texas. During his workout, the man chose to use the leg press machine. While he was still using it, he was reportedly approached by a man who informed him that he wanted to use it. He told the inquirer to go use a different machine, and they walked away. When he finished using the machine the man headed to the locker room.
According to reports, the other man used the leg press when it was free. After his workout, he went to the locker room, where he was allegedly confronted by the person who was initially using the leg press. The man reportedly began yelling at him. He felt something dripping down his leg, and he believed the man stabbed him in the buttocks with a pocketknife. The alleged victim went into the gym area where there were other people.
