A Florida woman with her preteen daughter in the car is facing charges after she reportedly crashed into a school bus while allegedly driving under the influence.

On the afternoon of September 5, a 38-year-old woman from Coconut Creek was driving in Boynton Beach with her 11-year-old daughter in the car. As she made a left turn, she reportedly slammed into a Palm Beach County school bus. The driver was the only person on board, and it was reported that the vehicles were damaged, but no one was injured. Several motorists around the scene allegedly saw the accident as it occurred, and the authorities were notified.

Officers from the Boynton Beach Police Department responded to the scene to investigate and spoke with individuals who identified themselves as witnesses. They each reported that they noticed the woman’s car was swerving between the lanes and then saw her crash into the bus after making a sharp left turn. When the police talked to the alleged victim, they reported that she was unable to stand up straight. They believed it was an indication that she was intoxicated, despite having just been in an accident.

In an event that news outlets are reporting as a first in Arizona, a man was arrested for suspicion of DUI while riding an electric scooter.

At the end of October, a Tempe police officer was driving when he saw a man in black clothing in the center of the road with a scooter in tow. The man then reportedly rapidly left the area and rode his electric vehicle into a parking lot.

The officer trailed the man and alleged that when he was able to make contact with him he found him lying on his back on the ground, and the scooter was tipped over.
