After a teenager crashed his car into the yard of a residence in Coachella and caused damage to the garage and two cars parked at the home he was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Just before 1:00 am on Friday, 18-year-old Zackery Fabian Camarena was allegedly driving above the speed limit in a residential area when his car veered toward the side of the road and ended up in the front yard of a house where two cars were parked.
Camarena’s Toyota Corolla reportedly hit a 2017 Cadillac XTS that was sitting in the driveway and the collision caused it to slam into and break through the garage door. A classic 1962 Chevrolet Impala was parked inside of the garage, and the Cadillac smashed through and barreled into it.
The garage and all of the vehicles involved in the accident were said to have taken a lot of damage, and people who witnessed the incident saw that Camarena was still inside of his car and helped him get out safely.
When the authorities arrived Camarena’s was taken to the hospital to make sure he was in stable medical condition.
Camarena was booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio and he is facing charges for DUI. He paid an ordered $3500 bail and he was released from custody.
