Teens Stole and Wrecked On-Duty Meals on Wheels Vehicle

One of three teenagers was arrested after the trio was accused of stealing and causing a wreck in a Meals on Wheels delivery vehicle while the driver was delivering a meal to a client.

63-year-old Balroop Primal is a delivery driver for Meals on Wheels in Queens, New York. He drops off food to the clients 6-days a week using a vehicle provided by the company.

Last Wednesday, Primal was in the middle of delivering breakfast around 9:15 am. The man, who said he had regularly done the same thing on many occasions, left the vehicle running with the keys inside and thought that he locked it before he brought the meal to the client.

Approximately 10-minutes later, Primal came back to the location that he parked the vehicle and found that it was no longer there.

The suspects that have been accused of taking the charity truck had it in their possession for over 2-hours.

While in the St. Albans area of Queens the vehicle was involved in an auto accident when allegedly smashing into the side of a car being operated by a 20-year-old.

Shrapnel from both vehicles landed on two of the lawns of homes nearby, and video of the accident was recorded on home security cameras that were facing the direction where the incident took place.

It appeared to the authorities that three teenagers were inside of the allegedly stolen Meals on Wheels truck when the accident occurred. They determined that a male was in the driver’s seat, and he appeared to be accompanied by one male and one female passenger.

A bit after the accident took place, a woman identified as 19-year-old Tannecia Dunn showed up at the site searching for her missing cell phone.

The police purported that she was the female passenger inside the reportedly stolen vehicle, and she was taken into custody.

The driver and the other passenger of the vehicle left the scene and have not been apprehended at this time, but Dunn is facing charges for suspicion of criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle for her alleged involvement in the event.
