Employee Refilling ATM Machine Robbed by Armed Felon

A man in Connecticut allegedly robbed an ATM company worker while they were trying to refill the cash in a gas station machine.

28-year-old Sylvester Terrance Younger goes by the nickname “Tweety Bird.”

On June 7, a man reportedly approached an ATM company employee that was refilling a cash machine at a Sunoco Gas Station in Bridgeport.

The worker reported that the suspect stole more than $83,000 from them before running off.

The Bridgeport Police Detective Bureau Robbery Squad opened an investigation.

When they gathered information about the alleged heist, the authorities believed the suspect that robbed the employee was Younger.

After they were issued an arrest warrant, the police set out to arrest Younger for the allegations.

On August 24, officers searched for Younger and found him at the P.T. Barnum Housing Complex.

When Younger saw the police, he allegedly tried to flee. The police additionally believed Younger had a firearm.

The man reportedly threw the gun on the ground outside before entering one of the buildings in the complex. The authorities purported that he was attempting to escape.

The officers found a 9mm semi-automatic handgun in the area that they believed Younger ditched a weapon. They said the gun was loaded and had an extended high-capacity magazine, with 22 live rounds.

When they checked the registration information on the weapon, the police said that it was reportedly stolen in Virginia.

Younger was taken into custody and booked on a $350,000 bond. He is facing many charges for the allegations, including second-degree robbery, first-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a large-capacity magazine, carrying a pistol without a permit, and theft of a firearm.
