36-year-old Christina Calello is from New Jersey, but she resides in Safety Harbor. Geoffrey Springer, 39, lives in Largo. The pair used to be in a romantic relationship, and they have a dog named Loki. It is reported that the couple is no longer together.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office began looking into the possibility that Calello and Springer were engaging in sexual activity with their dog.
As a part of the investigation, the authorities looked through the contents of a USB storage device that they said belonged to Springer. When they viewed the files, the investigators alleged that there was a folder named “XXX Sex Videos Loki.”
They opened the folder, and the authorities reported that a video was inside. When they viewed the footage, the investigators reported that they saw a dog that resembled Loki performing oral sex on a woman who appeared to be Calello. The authorities reported that there was a heart-shaped tattoo that both Calello and the woman in the video had on their hip.
They said that during the video, Calello was “not making any motions or gesture to stop the sexual act” with the canine.
On August 1, Calello and Springer were both taken into custody. The pair was booked into the Pinellas County Jail, and they are each facing charges of felony sexual activity involving animals.
Two days later, Springer was freed on his own recognizance. Calello was required to post a $5,000 bond for her release.
Loki was taken away from the ex-couple and medically examined to ensure his well-being.
