Former Hannah Montana star Mitchel Musso was arrested last weekend after allegedly causing a drunken disturbance at a hotel and stealing snack food from a convenience store in Texas.
32-year-old actor Mitchel Musso is well known for playing Oliver Oken in Disney’s Hannah Montana, in addition to playing parts in several additional Disney Channel productions. He is also a pop singer.
On August 26, the Garland, Texas native was in Rockwall, Texas, approximately 200 miles from his hometown.
According to reports, Musso was intoxicated, and he was at a local Rockwall hotel. Musso allegedly began to cause a scene that was loud enough to disrupt the atmosphere for other visitors. Someone at the establishment decided to notify the authorities about the situation.
It was reported that Musso snatched a bag of snack chips from the convenience market in the hotel, but he would not pay for them. He reportedly yelled and then walked outside without giving the clerk any money.
When the police arrived, they caught up with Musso and determined that he was behaving as if he was intoxicated. Upon further investigation, they also learned that he had more than one active warrant.
Musso was taken into custody and booked into the Rockwall County Detention Center. He has been accused of public intoxication, and theft under $100, in addition to expired registration, failure to display a driver’s license, and violating a promise to appear notice.
The following day, Musso was released from jail after posting a $1,000 bond.
According to reports, Musso had a prior DUI arrest that led to the cancellation of one of his television shows, in addition to having his character written out of another.
