Police Lieutenant Tried to Trap Partner during Domestic Dispute

A lieutenant with the Kissimmee Police Department was accused of domestic violence-related infractions and allegedly tried to stop her partner from leaving when they were fighting.

Erika Castellucci was employed with the Kissimmee Police Department as a lieutenant since Fall 2018.

On the evening of December 29, Castellucci was reportedly at home spending time with her partner. The pair had reportedly been drinking wine together.

It was reported that the couple got into a disagreement just after midnight.

Castellucci’s partner called a friend to give her a ride so that she could leave when the argument allegedly began to escalate.

When the person came to pick up Castellucci’s partner, they reported that they witnessed Castellucci grab her partner’s sweater, causing it to be pulled from the woman’s body. The witness reported that they believed Castellucci did it because she was trying to prevent her partner from leaving.

The driver of the vehicle called the St. Cloud Police Department to report the situation, and officers came to the address.

According to reports, Castellucci’s partner left the residence when the authorities arrived.

When the woman was questioned about the situation, the alleged victim reportedly said that Castellucci tried to stop her from leaving by pulling at her sweater, in addition to blocking her in the bedroom and bathroom areas inside the home.

The police spoke to Castellucci, and she said that her partner pushed her, and she lost her balance due to drinking wine. She reportedly said she grabbed her partner’s sweater to stop herself from falling.

Castellucci was placed under arrest and booked into the Osceola County Jail in lieu of a $3,000 bond. She is facing charges for felony false imprisonment, and misdemeanor domestic battery, and was released from custody the following evening.

It has been reported that Castellucci has been removed from her position as lieutenant and placed on administrative leave because of the pending charges.
