Repeat Offender Violently Attacked Off-Duty Officer and Friend

In a purported instance of road rage, a man with several prior convictions for aggravated battery on a peace officer allegedly attacked an off-duty officer and his friend.

Last Sunday, 35-year-old Kyle Clark was reportedly driving a Volkswagen Jetta in Chicago.

A 38-year-old off-duty police officer with the Chicago Police Department and his passenger were driving down the same road at the same time as Clark.

The two vehicles reportedly sideswiped against each other, and Clark was purportedly at fault.

The officer tried to get Clark to pull over to exchange information and report the accident.

When Clark complied, the driver let him know that he was a police officer.

While Clark and the officer were standing near each other, Clark allegedly struck him in the face twice with a closed fist. The officer’s 38-year-old passenger got out of the vehicle to try to help his friend.

When the passenger jumped into the alleged altercation, Clark reportedly bit the man’s nipple and tore it off.

When the authorities arrived at the scene, the police reported that Clark was initially uncooperative, but they were able to get him to calm down in a short time.

The wounded alleged victim of the bite attack was taken to a local hospital. News outlets reported that he was given medical treatment, including stitches, for his injury, but the nipple was completely gone.

Clark was placed under arrest and booked into the Cook County Jail. He is facing charges for aggravated assault on a peace officer, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He was incarcerated on a $100,000 bond.
