Three women from Washington state were arrested after they were accused of stealing approximately $30,000 worth of designer handbags from a mall in California.

According to reports, on August 16, a store in The Americana at Brand shopping complex in Glendale was the target of a robbery. The store reported that designer handbags were missing from their inventory. The estimated total value of the missing bags was $30,000.

Officers on E-bikes from the Glendale Downtown Policing Unit were patrolling the area around The Americana at Brand around the time of the alleged theft. While they were still near the shopping center, they saw a vehicle being driven without license plates. The car was also blocking traffic, and the officers pulled over the driver.

A woman from California is facing several felonies after allegedly working for many years and in several locations as a dental hygienist without possessing the necessary legal credentials to do so. 

50-year-old woman Elizabeth “Mina” Larijani aka Elizabeth Garcia Costilla is from California. 

According to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, between 2015 and 2020 Larijani worked as a dental hygienist at several offices in the cities of San Jose and Campbell. It was also asserted that she applied for additional dental hygienist positions during that timeframe.

When a man driving with a juvenile passenger was pulled over in Glendale, the pair was arrested when the officer allegedly found them carrying an illegal weapon and drugs.

22-year-old Angelo Smith and an underage passenger were reportedly traveling in a vehicle through Glendale, California late in the evening on September 5.

An on-duty police sergeant spotted Smith’s car and reportedly noticed that the lighting had a malfunction which rendered it illegal for operating on the road.

A man in Los Angeles County was arrested, cited, and released on three separate alleged theft-related crimes that took place in the same 12-hour period.

Last Wednesday, 24-year-old Dijon Landrum, a resident of Monterey Park, reportedly began a series of different types of attempted thefts beginning around 8:30 am.

The authorities received a report notifying them that there might be an auto theft in progress.

While a father was issuing a firearm safety lesson to his 6-year-old daughter the girl was accidentally shot, which resulted in severe injuries and felony charges.

26-year-old Eldon Mcinville and his family reside in Glendale, Arizona, just outside of Phoenix.

Last Thursday, Mcinville was working on cleaning his new shotgun when he reportedly decided to use it as an opportunity to give his daughter a few tips about how to interact safely with firearms.

A man remains in custody after being held accountable for an incident involving the vandalism of an Arizona airport causing them to halt operations for a full day in order to administer repairs.

On Friday, the Glendale Municipal Airport was the site of an incident involving damage to an entire floor of their building. The airport serves as an institution that provides instruction to new pilots and contains technological devices that allow the trainees to participate in mock-flights for practice.

The reported cause of the catastrophe appeared to be a suspect who allegedly broke several windows with a hammer before bringing a hose inside of the building and allowing it to flood the interior of the ground floor. The building was unable to reopen for 24 hours due to the amount of clean-up and dry time needed to restore it, and it reportedly cost $70,000 to complete the job.

A man has been charged with many theft-related felonies after the authorities became suspicious of his business activities and allege that he offered to turn back the mileage on the odometers of cars for customers leasing them from dealerships.

For the past year and a half, a man has allegedly been running a business in Glendale, Studio City, and North Hollywood for which he is accused of accepting payment for using a computer to intervene and tamper with the mileage on leased cars. The lower displayed number has reportedly cost car dealerships $76,394 to their financial services companies.

The man, identified as 44-year-old Serge Oganesian of Studio City, reportedly used a computer to change the mileage readings on odometers on 12 automobiles for his clients before the leasees returned the vehicles to the dealerships.

A woman from Inglewood was taken into custody after the authorities allegedly discovered that she may be a part of a fencing scheme involving merchandise that had been reported as stolen from several stores.

While investigating a report from Macy’s at the Glendale Galleria, 36-year-old Tiffany Mathis caught the attention of the police as a suspect in what is believed to be a fencing operation involving goods that were stolen from several stores around the Los Angeles area.

A fence is someone who obtains stolen goods for a low price from the people who initially stole them, and then finds buyers that will pay close to market value and usually don’t know that the products were illegally procured. Mathis is suspected of acting in this capacity.

A man who is a pastor at a Los Angeles church has been accused of the molestation of two young Chinese girls who are foreign exchange students that were staying in a hotel room.

Two girls, ages 10 and 12, were sharing a room at the Vanllee Hotel and Suites in Covina on Wednesday night when they were the alleged victims of a sexual predator. The young women are a part of a foreign exchange student program and they were taking part in a field trip. Though they had their own room there was a chaperone in the establishment to keep watch over the students.

Hotel surveillance video displayed a silver truck parked outside the room where the girls were staying, and a man was seen staring into their hotel room and masturbating while looking at them through the window. The man then allegedly entered the lobby of the hotel and knocked on their door. The victims opened the door believing that it was their chaperone, but they were met by the stranger who then forced his way into the room.
